swarbles.

a mostly goodhearted twentynine year old lady who lives in a land where it's winter half the year. starlings nest in the soffit along the side of my house and mourning doves roost under the roof above of my door stoop. i fall in love all the time.

sometimes i sing.
sometimes i make things.

i just want my wrists to not hurt so much so i can play the banjo.  i’m pretty sure it’s carpal tunnel, since my pinkies aren’t affected and pinkies aren’t usually affected with carpal tunnel because they’re wired to different nerves than the ones that traverse the carpal tunnel itself.  i mean, they’re a little sore, but it’s a completely different sore than my other fingers and i think that might be due to the fact that my hands are now naturally partially curled up due to being wrapped.  my maternal grandmother and brother both have carpal tunnel syndrome.  my grandmother sleeps with one pillow on each side with her wrists elevated, so i’ll give that a go tonight, except that means i won’t be able to cuddle up in bed, and i’m very much so a curled up/fetal-ish sleeper, so this has potential to suck and it’s quite possible i’ll give up and curl up.  i did sleep much better last night.  i’ve been wearing the splint and bandage basically nonstop.  tomorrow i will get another splint, since i don’t think the bandage is as effective.

also i want for it to not take me forever to write emails to the deer.  seriously, i’ve been working on this email for about a week now and it’s embarrassing, but there’s a lot of things and i haven’t seen him in eight months and i have to casually work in some way of asking him for fingerings of a certain sequence of chords in one of his songs, but without telling him that i’m covering it, because i like to surprise him with things sometimes.
