moose peak lighthouse, located on mistake island, in maine.

the lighthouse is going up for auction. green berets blew up the lighthouse keeper’s house in the 1980’s because for some dumb reason, a maine state historic preservation officer said the house didn’t have any particular historic value. i don’t understand how that’s a true thing, but i don’t understand much about the government or politics or the decisions people make about old houses.

so who wants to go in on this with me and live inside the lighthouse proper on mistake island?
